Tocopherol Acetate - What's in Your Vitamin E?

Tocopherol acetate is a chemical compound of vitamin e and acetic acid. Another name is Vitamin E Acetate. Tocopherol, (vitamin E), is found in many natural sources: milk, germ oil, plant leaves, vegetable oils (safflower, corn, soybeans, cottonseed and sunflower), yellow vegetables, unprocessed cereals, cereals and beans. Tocopherol is twice as powerful as a natural source than synthetically made.

Vitamin E can be a great supplement in Malaysia natural or synthetic form. Vitamin E protects cells from free radical damage, improves muscle development, helps prevent anemia and protects the body from loss of vitamins A and C. ALL VITAMIN ARE NOT - D vs DL

There are different types of tocopherol. You'll notice the difference between them with the prefix, d or dl. Prefix letters I'd show it came from a natural source. The prefix dl indicates that it is synthetically made. Various names on the labels can be read, "tocopherol d-alpha," tocopherol dl-alpha "," d-alpha tocopherol acetate "or" dl-alpha tocopherol acetate ".

D-alpha tocopherol is made from natural sources. It is the most biodegradable form, favored by the body. It's okay. It's better absorbed and stored for longer in the body. It has antioxidants! It attacks free radicals. It protects the skin, rather, from damaging UV rays.

DL-alpha tocopherol is a synthetic version of vitamin e, which is being developed in laboratories around the world. It's okay. It's found in many commercial products. Dl-alpha tocopherol does not contain the same nutrients as naturally occurring d-alpha tocopherol. Manufacturers use the dl version because it's cheap to make.

Watch out! The dl version of the body care product can disrupt the endocrine system, cause toxic effects and increase skin cancer, caused by UV-B radiation.

Watch out! Tocopherol acetate can be contaminated in the manufacturing process by the bleaching agent, hydroquinone. Hydroquinone is commonly used in skin brightening products. Hydroquinone is banned in Japan, Australia and Europe, due to toxic problems. The FDA approved hydroquinone but since August 29, 2006 has revoked its agreement stating, "Hydrocutane cannot be ruled out as a potential carcinogen". The FDA now classifies it as safe, as it is used today. It can be effective for brightening the skin when used properly. It can also cause skin irritation. Currently, in the United States, over the counter topical products, with up to 2% hydroquinone, can be sold without prescription. Prescription skin slimming products may contain up to 4% hydroquinone.

So you make a choice! Don't make the "contains vitamin E" gimmick! Live as close to nature as possible. Carefully check the label of your material for d or dl!
