For a long time, people have experienced embarrassing acne reminders and shame over the past. Holes, bumps and uneven texture of acne scars are something people think they have to live with. However, recently, some new developments have been made that actually produce creams and cleansers that effectively reduce acne scars, and give hope to those with acne scars.
A major breakthrough was with a substance called Collaxyl. What it is, is a peptide that promotes the skin to repair damage done. There is a real experiment done on a piece of dead skin, in which the skin is intentionally torn to simulate skin damage similar to acne scars. Collaxyl was then applied to a piece of skin and allowed to penetrate for 72 hours. Keep in mind that this experiment was performed on dead skin, not on life ... After 72 hours, the skin has dramatically restored tears. It looks like Collaxyl can actually make the skin heal itself. Now included in a luxury cream designed to treat acne scars, Collaxyl can be a household name for those with acne scars, or any other scars for that matter.
Another important thing that has happened in the last year about acne scars is the ability of some products to safely alleviate the color changes often associated with acne scars. There is usually a dark or "bruised" color look on the skin in the area with this acne. To date, harmful substances such as koic acid and hydroquinone have been used, but they are linked to cancer and are prohibited in many countries. Recently, one product has pioneered the use of a substance called Asafetida, which is a root plant extract. When damaged, the roots of Asafetida plants turn white. It has been found that using this root extract in skin care can produce the same illumination that has one of the most harmful side effects from past treatments for skin color changes.
There are third findings in the industry that could lead to a serious improvement in how acne scars are treated. This is with Resveratrol. Yes, the same resveratrol has been mentioned in many TV programs for its anti-aging properties. Well, it turns out that Oxford University research shows that Resveratrol kills acne that causes bacteria (to treat the acne itself) and also has a very strong effect in relieving the redness and irritation that occur during acne breakouts. Reducing inflammation and redness, as well as the powerful antioxidant effects of Resveratrol dramatically reduce both the opportunity for developing acne scars, and acne scars. One of the major side-effects of treating skin with Resveratrol is that the skin has a great anti-aging benefit from the ingredients too .. and that's a good thing, no matter how you look at it.
In short, three good developments in acne scars are very encouraging to those who suffer. If you can find products that contain these ingredients, you should definitely try to eliminate existing acne scars, or at least try to build a new one. The moment may now end the suffering that acne scars have dealt with forever. Let's hope our skin care manufacturers take notice and give us what we need.
