Notes to Self - How I Will Balance the Dosha-Effect on My Skin

To me,

I know. I know. It's been a while since we've had a heart-to-heart chat. But you know me better than anyone on this planet. I just kept busy and busy until I got to the point of burning and then I ruined myself with overindulgence - until it scrrrreeams my skin. My eyes, hair, nails and skin are all flowing. Why am I doing this?

I can overcome my self-neglect ...

But then again, what about giving me my little goals and clapping myself every time I reach them? How can I squeeze in 5 minutes for myself? Yes I can! OK, so what's on my checklist?

1. I don't buy any creams or skin creams under my eyes because my best friend buys them.

2. If I can't understand the ingredients of luxury (read chemicals) in creams, then I don't buy them.

3. I only engage in beauty products that suit me.

4. I need to understand my skin, personality, priorities.

5. Ummm ... acting on the above.

What, me?

So after I checked myself out of pressure to buy 'just because' (rolling eyes) plus, weird chemicals (I have to be Einstein to understand that term); I feel good. Isn't that right, my dear?

Now to the next point. What, me? What suits me and my skin?

Ayurveda has the answer ...

After a fierce online search, I stopped at the age of Ayurveda - the knowledge of life. At least, I'll feed myself. No side effects. So here's what I found:

1. My long term stable and stable constitution or my constitution is my priority.

2. My prakriti basically consists of 3 main doshas: Vata, Pitta and Kapha.

3. I can be one or a combination of three - Vata-Pitta, Pitta-Kapha, Vata-Kapha and Vata-Pitta-Kapha.

4. I need to consult with an Ayurvedic practitioner to find out my most prominent or most important form of preeclampsia.

But how will I use my dosha as part of my skin care regime ...
Alright, I have all this knowledge now. How do I use it? Easy.

MAKE YOUR DOSHA.

What are you waiting for?

Yes, balance your dosha. That's what Ayurveda is all about. Harmony.

- So, if I am a Vata (which means I am thin, energetic, have irregular sleeping patterns, dry skin) then I need something that hydrates, soothes and protects my skin from harsh climates.

- If I'm a Pitta (I have oily skin exposed to red and I feel angry when I'm tired) then I need something chemical free, no strong fragrance and protect me from the sun.

- If I'm a Kapha (I build weight, tend to gain weight easily, have dull skin, can be stubborn) then I need good but gentle cleansing products and light moisturizers.

One size does not fit all. I'm unique. The same goes for my skin care needs.

Lastly...

I will release myself for why-not-I-thought-this-before the guilty trip. What's important is that I feel safe and protected. Exceptions and goodbye chemicals. Hello healing touch and Ayurveda.
