Because the shaft is naturally sealed after installation to protect it from moisture (which can cause damage, including cracks and shifts), any surface scratches are often contained in the sealant and are not routed to the sandstone below. To fix scratches like these, you need to follow this simple process:
Since you will be working with some chemicals and other solutions that do not respond well to the skin, you need to make sure that you wear good rubber gloves before starting. You can mix a solution of 2 liters of warm water and a quarter cup of bleach powder. Stir together until the bleach is completely dissolved.
Next, you need to take the plastic brushing brush and dip it into the solution provided above. Use a brush to scrub the area of the sand that has retained the scratches, as this will remove any dirt and dirt from the mark. Then, use a cloth that you have dampened with clean water to remove the sandstones and remove any remaining solution. Use a second cloth to wipe dry sandstone.
You will then need to take the # 0000 steel wool and wet it with cold water. Use steel wool to rub on the scratches on the sandstone surface so you can no longer see it. Do not use heavier grades of steel wool, as this may cause further damage to the sandstone. If you notice that scratches go deeper than you originally did, you should seek the advice of a professional.
To finish, you need to apply a thin layer of sand filter to the surface of the pavement using the applicator provided. Before starting, you need to make sure that the area is well ventilated by opening the doors and windows nearby. Make sure you follow the manufacturer's instructions and leave the first layer completely dry before adding the second coat. Once you've applied the final layer, you need to leave the sandstone to dry for at least 24 hours before trying to walk or reuse the area.
