How To Use Apple Cider Vinegar To Cure Your Acne

Today, many are turning to natural home remedies in an effort to save money from buying expensive skin solutions that claim to cure acne but never keep their promises. There is a growing awareness among the public to seek natural treatment and this is certainly bad news for the commercial skin market.

There are several natural home remedies available. One of them is apple cider vinegar. You may want to read some articles on the use of apple cider vinegar as a remedy for acne. Does this really work? Is that right? Hope this article can dispel some misconceptions about natural home remedies if any.

What is apple vinegar?

Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV) is an effective natural bacterial agent that has many elements such as calcium, potassium, magnesium, chlorine, sodium, iron, sulfur and so on. All of these elements are essential for a healthy body especially to promote healthy skin development. These anti-bacterial properties make it a good topical remedy for acne.

The main ingredient of ACV is acetic acid. It helps slow down dead skin cells, kills the propionibacterium acnes bacteria, commonly known as P-acnes and neutralizes sebum which is a nourishing and thriving P-acnes ointment.

How is Apple Cider vinegar made?

Apple cider vinegar is obtained by fermentation of apple cider or apple made from crushed organic apples. Just for your information, fermentation means conversion. Organic apples have some kind of bacteria and yeast on their skin. So when they are destroyed, you get pure apple juice with a mixture of bacteria and yeast.

After that you leave it to mature for a while. During this process, the sugar in the apple juice is broken down by the yeast and bacteria that become alcohol. It's more like a brewing process that eventually becomes vinegar after the second fermentation.

If you don't have the time or resources to make it at home, you can easily buy ACV from any department store. First of all, make sure you get an organic ACV with a label that says 'With Mom' with an ideal acidity level (pH) of five to seven. This means it is in a raw and pure form characterized by dark, cloudy bacterial bubbles, such as a brownish web.

The Benefits of Apple Cider Vinegar for Your Skin

ACV contains acids that are alpha-hydroxy acids extracted directly from apples. These acids help dissolve the oil and sebum that clog the pores and eventually blame them. This will encourage skin renewal.

It is known to cure allergies from pets, food and environmental pollution, high cholesterol, colds, chronic fatigue, sinus infections, sore throat, arthritis and gout just to name a few.

However, its most popular benefits are associated with weight loss. ACV is known to break down fat and the daily dose of ape vinegar in water helps maintain high blood pressure in less than two weeks.

It also helps control your skin's pH by simply melting it in two parts water and spreading the ingredients on your face using a cotton ball as a toner in the blink of an eye and washing it the next day. Please note that you dilute it with most of the water as you will leave it on your skin for a long time.

It also helps alleviate age spots by steaming ACV directly to them for about twenty minutes or more each day depending on their size. In addition it helps to clear your heart by eliminating accumulated toxins and charging efficiency.

How to use Apple Cider Vinegar for acne?

This use varies with the severity of your acne. Most of the time, consumers melt it with water and apply it with a cotton ball over their place because it seems to work well. ACV is considered a good alternative to antibiotics as it helps to treat bacterial infections.

You can use apple vinegar in two ways; one as an internal tonic and as a topical antibacterial solution.

Follow these steps and you may see some great results. First, take three tablespoons of ACV to a glass of water and mix well. Then rub your face with a cotton ball as astringent.

Try using three different cotton balls on your face. Use one for your forehead, another for your cheeks and nose and one for your chin. If you have oily nose, use a separate one for that. This is to prevent the spread of bacteria from one place to your face which will eventually cause more acne on other areas of your face. While this may sound strange, it's better to be safe than sorry.

Let stand for about ten to fifteen minutes and rinse with warm water. Then use a soft clean towel to bathe your skin dry. Repeat this procedure three times a day for maximum effect. For those with severe acne infections, you can apply lower doses of ACV diluted with three to four parts water and let them spend the night doing their chores and washing them the next day with warm water.

Remember that you use lower ACV strength if you want to apply and leave it on your skin for longer.

Another thing you can do is drink it with water with a few tablespoons as a tonic each morning. It helps prevent acne, reduces infections and relieves inflammation. The only thing you need to be aware of is that it may not be completely healthy. Try to drink like water and you'll be fine.

If you have some very annoying acne, I would recommend mixing one ACV with three parts water and applying acne. Leave it there for about fifteen minutes and wash it with warm water.

Some Tips and Warnings

· Never try ACV full strength in the face as there are reported cases of skin damage, irritation and burns. Therefore, be careful to use this medicine especially for those with sensitive skin.

· Always use raw apple juice, unrefined and unpasteurized. This will give you the best results.

· After using apple vinegar, get some tea tree oil on your acne. Tea tree oil works wonders for healing the skin.

· If you are allergic to apples, apple cider vinegar is not for you.

· Do not use in combination with other acne medications. This will cause complications and dryness of the skin.

· When using ACV, it is best to start with the weakest combination of the four parts. If you are comfortable with it, then work with a stronger mix. That means reducing the amount of water.

· Vision sensation is quite normal when using ACV, but if you start to experience some burning sensation, rinse immediately with cold water.

Rounding It Up and My Conclusion

Everything about apple vinegar has been quite positive except for the astringency of vinegar that you need to be careful when applying it on your face. I would recommend starting with lower doses and then moderating to higher strengths as you continue to adjust to topical solutions.

It is normal to feel any sensation of pleasure as it is an indication that it works. However, if you start to experience any burns then wash immediately and reduce ACV strength. For better results, use a water-based skin moisturizer to apply to your skin after each ACV treatment. This is to prevent your skin from drying out due to ACV's astringent properties.

I want to show that while ape vinegar can remove some of the surface bacteria on the skin, it's not a long-term solution that can actually attack acne at its root. There are many causes of acne and bacteria are one of them.

It is more or less suitable for people with mild to moderate acne and can see results in just a few weeks. In severe cases, it can take a long time to heal. Be patient and you will rule the world! The good thing is that you do it naturally and definitely don't burn your pockets in the process.

It makes sense to try these cheap home remedies before switching to more expensive products. Even if you have to, the severity of your acne condition will improve and you will not have to spend long to undergo the medical procedure provided by any dermatologist.
