The skin layer continues to produce new cells, such as 30000 to 40000 cells that disappear every minute. The second is the dermis layer located below the epidermis. Because it is under the epidermis then the dermis is invisible. The dermis plays a very important role in the protection and perception that the skin plays. It works a lot, as it has nerve endings, vascular supply and glands (both oil or sebum glands and sweat glands). Because of the presence of these factors we can feel the touch sensation. Vascularity to the skin starts in the dermis and thus helps in providing proper nourishment to the skin cells. The dermis also contains sebum glands or better known as oil glands, which helps our skin in lubrication thus helping to catch any infection. It makes our skin function as a raincoat, thus helping the skin to become clogged and swollen in the water. The sweat glands play an important role in our lives. The most important thing is that it helps in controlling our body temperature; Second, it plays a role in the excretion of the harmful toxins that may form in our bodies; Third, it helps protect our body from microorganisms because it has antibacterial properties.
The third and most important of all is the subcutaneous fat layer. Her role is to work as a shock absorber in her body and to keep her body from moving to outside temperatures. It also helps to hold the internal organs tight as they are under the skin. It also contains very strange features that only mammals have hair follicles. This layer is full of hair follicles where hair grows. Hair nourishment depends on the sebum gland, which opens up to the hair follicles until it is proven to shine with nutrients.
Skin type
It is very important to know what type of skin you have, as skin care can help reduce skin problems and prevent disease.
There are 5 main types of skin: -
1. Normal skin: It's not the most common type of skin. It is soft, smooth, supple and has textured skin without any dead cells and no pores. Proper distribution of oil and moisture is there which makes it a balanced skin i.e. not too dry and not too greasy. It is clear and free of defects
2. Dry skin: The skin is said to be dry, when the skin becomes dull, wrinkled, reddened and flaky especially around the eyes. This condition occurs when the oil or sebaceous gland oil does not provide good nourishment and lubrication to the skin. If proper care is not given to the skin, it can cause wrinkles at a young age.
3. Oily or oily skin: The skin is thick, dull and looks shiny. Because of the excess oil or sebum through the oil glands, the pores open and the skin becomes sticky, attracting dirt and dust from the environment. Due to this tendency, dirt and dust particles block open pores of oily skin in oily skin causing problems such as blackheads, whiteheads, acne and other skin problems.
4. Combined skin: The most common skin texture is a combination of two types of skin, namely dry skin areas and some oily areas.
