You might pay $ 100 or more for a bottle of collagen face cream. But, what exactly are you paying for? The cost of collagen cream has a lot to do with the advertising and marketing campaigns used by the company. The ingredients in it are quite cheap. Here are some things you might not know.
Collagen is a simple protein found in fibers that forms the dermis layer on the skin. There are four to five layers of cells rich in keratin, before you reach the dermis. So, if collagen face cream is effective, it should penetrate four to five layers of skin.
Although they are penetrating, collagen cream will not help replace the lost collagen fibers with age. There is a way to do that, which I get in a moment, but collagen cream won't work. Not to mention the fact that manufacturers only include very small quantities.
When you read the ingredients list on a product label, it is listed by the percentage of product they make, from highest to lowest. If there are "active" materials, they will be listed first.
In the United States, the only ingredients considered active are pharmaceuticals and sunscreen. They do not consider protein to be an active ingredient. So when you scan the ingredients list on collagen face cream, you may see water or "aqua" listed first.
I've seen many products over the years and in many cases, "collagen" is the 20th listed item. The artificial preservatives are far above. Therefore, there is a maximum amount of artificial preservatives that can be included in cosmetics and very low percentages, which tells us something.
It tells us that the amount of protein actually included in collagen cream is not enough to benefit. Fortunately, we have an alternative.

To prevent and repair the damage to free radicals, the antioxidant Q10 coenzyme is required, but it must be formulated properly using expensive nanotechnology or it will not penetrate the skin layer. No collagen face cream contains the substance.
To stimulate the production of new cells and fibers, scientific research has shown that zinc and copper are bound to proteins performing the service. But, you have to be careful. There are some companies that know the benefits of copper, but they use too much and can cause serious allergic reactions.
Basically, collagen cream is a waste of money and time, as it takes a long time to read a long list of artificial ingredients. Now, you know collagen face cream is not your best option, no matter how much it costs.
