Single Girl's Guide to Makeover Magic

Let's face it, girlfriend. Thanks to cable TV, we're now hooked on episodes of the endless makeover show where every "Plain Jane," in the closet from hell, learns to choose the right clothes, makeup, and hairstyle, then right before our eyes, transformed into a real beauty! And, notice how great it looks to make it feel strong? And, all in less than an hour! Great!

But what if this new self-confidant is one of your millions of sisters hunting for Prince Charming, who happens to be hunting Princess Charming? Well, in this case, this might be the perfect time to check in with your mirror, wall mirror to see how fair you are with all this growing competition.

You know, Cinderella has it so easy. With a wave of magic wand, and a bit of "bibbity bobity boo," her fairy godmother grabs her from wealth to wealth, then sends her to the Ball like a future Princess, and the rest is history!

In the real world, things get a little more complicated. For starters, it's likely that your prince will start to see you dressed up in a mall, not a ball. Also, the chances of a future TV makeover are very slim. You can hire a smart fashion mom, AKA a fashion consultant, but if the $ 200 + payment is not in your budget, what would a girl like you do when the whole thing is to leave the first impression of leaving a potential prince?

Well, a girl like you will take responsibility for her life. Presents I'm Going to Make MYSELF Makeover!

You start with your face. Of course, if you think, "How do I get started with something else," remember the immortal words of Cindy Crawford: "I didn't even wake up to look like Cindy Crawford." So, again, your face is your focus, especially your face color. I promise you, when you learn how to use the power of color to compliment your eyes, skin, and natural hair color, just like in a makeover event, a miracle will happen! The eyes will sparkle and your skin will glow. And, lighting is definitely a plus for the first impression, especially when your prince will forever remember the first time he saw your face.

On the other hand, shining is not practical when you are using colors that are against your own. For example, if you have springs, translucent skin, and soft wheat hair, imagine the disaster of deep jewelry, double eyeliner, and dayglow clothing with dark chunky jewelry. That's right! Not good! Strong colors beat your own, and POOF! you are gone. Wearing a color is younger than washing your own natural light so you look tired and older than you. Again, not good. To go to the light, here's a "must know" that made it happen!

RESOLVING BASIC COLOR ANALYSIS

Many fashion consultants rely on the Munsell Color System to determine the exact color of the customer's palette. This scientific system is based on three components: HUE, VALUE, and CHROMA:

HUE is just a color name.

Simple Colors: Red, Yellow, Green, Blue and Purple.

Compound colors: Yellow-Red, Green-Yellow, Blue-Green, Purple-Blue and Red-Purple.

VALUE: How bright or dark the color is.

The more white the color, the higher the value. True black has the lowest value, true white has the highest.

CHROMA: The clarity or strength of color.

Gray and gray color have low chromium; bright, bright, bright colors have high chrome.

HOW TO COLLECT COLORS

INSTALLATION: Corresponds to the skin tone on the outer corner of your eye. Apply makeup on your face and neck, and then match your skin tone with both interior lighting and sunlight. Hint: To make sure you choose the right color scheme, take a partner for a second opinion.

EASY TO MAKE: Apply your eyelashes and eyebrows to everyday mascara, eye liner and eyebrow pencil. For a more dramatic effect, add a color value of makeup. Choose an eye shadow for the color of your eyes or eyebrows. Hint: Your eyes contain a free rainbow of colors. Use the magnifying glass to see the full spectrum.

LIPSTICK and BLUSH: Fits your cheeks and lips. Try both the cheeks and lips gently, with a hint of if the color turns pink, red, or orange.

With a little practice, your makeup routine will take you from ordinary to bright in five minutes or less.

HOW TO REMOVE COLOR COLORS

If you've spent a lifetime believing you can't wear certain colors, then understanding Hue, Value, and Chroma opens up a whole new world. Just imagine! Red is not just one color, but a variety of options from yellow-red to purple-red, from pastel pink to burgundy deepest, all from which you choose the red that compliments you.

REDS: Your cheeks and lip color

GREENS / BLUES: For green or blue eyes, use your eye color. For brown or black eyes, apply green or blue to your "rainbow," or use a color wheel to match the color of your eyes to free greens or blues. http://www.realcolorwheel.com/colorwheel.htm

YELLOW: Trickiest of all colors to determine. Usually summer and spring wear soft yellow; Falls wore golden yellow; Winters wear strong, light yellow.

NEUTRALS: Current or used (if your hair is gray or gray) natural hair color, and eyes if brown or black. Use neutrals for suits, coats, skirts, pants, jackets, shoes and purses.

This description just touches the surface of how colors change your image and creates a memorable first impression! Professional consulting services, ideally trained in the Munsell System, are invaluable in evaluating color palettes, free prints, accessories, makeup, body parts, and fashion and hair styles. Fees can range from $ 200 to $ 1000 +, however, considering the wasted money buying makeup that never works, and clothes still hanging on their price tags in the back of your closet when you cry "I don't have to!" , professional analysis is cheap. In the meantime, here's a list of shopping guides to get your transformation started!

SHOPPING DAYS:

* To create a customizable wardrobe, determine your basic needs based on your lifestyle, such as professional, casual, evening, hobby and sportswear. For each area, buy basic clothing, such as professional suits, cocktail dresses, free pants and jackets, as well as some blouses, sweaters, and accessories.

* You don't need a king hostage to look like a million! Even drugstores bring quality makeup. Buy end of season sales, and consignments and stores for quality clothing and accessories. Many Princesses do not!

* Collect fabric pieces by asking the fabric store or tailor to save the rest. Also, don't forget your closet! If you have a color in your palette, just pick a point from the inside. Keep your back in an envelope to carry while you shop.

* When shopping, first match the item to your color. Next, double check in the mirror. Hold the item with your face, then ask the $ 64,000 question: "Does this color compliment or match my natural coloring?" If "yes," try to make sure it fits your body. If the color and fit both "yes", buy it. If color and fit are "no," no matter how much you like it, pass. Remember, you shine when the color you use compliments the color you have.

* For cooking clothes, think of accessories. Before you head to the mall in a great pair of jeans, add sunglasses and earrings, or throw a beautiful scarf around your coat collar. You're going to convey "I care how I look, and I look and feel great"! Not a bad first vibration, especially for a prince who doesn't pay close attention to you from the usual crowds of buyers.

* Gather the "other seasons" sisters for a "swap meet" wardrobe. Some of my favorite dresses, scarves, and jewelry come from events like these!

A final fashion accessory that promises to make you shine every moment of the day: Believe that you are the Princess that is worthy of the Prince you dream of. Then, the clothes to prove it.
