Homemade face masks have been used for hundreds of years to moisturize the skin. Many of the top skincare products in our modern day contain the same active ingredients or come from the same material - whether chemical or natural - such as Cleopatra likes or other famous beauty.
When you hear the names DMAE, Papain, Coq10, Liposomes, Peptides, AHA, EFA, Copper, Alphalipoic Acids and more, you might think of someone in the lab who creates a face cream with a specific scientific mix of one or more of these ingredients.
This is the case for many commercially produced products, but most of us - the average consumer - are unaware that we are surrounded by plants, seeds, herbs, fruits and oils that are rich in nutrients. They may have different names or go unnoticed because when you go shopping at your supermarket, you won't see a melon labeled with a sticker that says "contains high concentrations of papain, AHA and Alphalipoic acid".
They also will not tell you that these watermelons have incredible exfoliation and cell-stimulating properties for the skin that can be easily applied in a home-made mask and when used with other ingredients like coconut oil, can provide a powerful moisturizer and rejuvenate skin treatment Much stronger than buying a purchased product!
Diet will tell you that eating fresh orange is better for you than drinking processed juice ... why? Because fresh ingredients contain all the vitamins and enzymes that are damaged or destroyed under heat and processing. Likewise, by using the face masks, treatments and homemade lotions you make at home using fresh ingredients, you take the best of all nutrients including vitamins, enzymes, liposomes and more - and deliver them directly to your skin.
The following ingredients have many benefits to your skin:
Avocado is high in fatty acids and oils. Very moisturizing for the skin especially avocado oil
Almonds are also high in fatty acids and are great for moisturizing the skin

Wheatgerm, Apricot, Macadamia or Hazelnut oils are high in essential fatty acids that help the journey of deeper moisture into the skin.
Bananas rich in Vitamin B and Vitamin C make it an excellent base for home-made masks
Eggs high in sulfur as they are dried are then soaked and the apricots repainted (good for acne) and make a good base
Citrus fruits: are rich in vitamin C and fruits that make them great for brightening the skin and for acne

Essential oils: oils like melaleuca (tea tree) and lavender are antibacterial, antimicrobial is great for acne and oily skin and acne. All you need is a few drops of this mask and it contains a lot of essential oils that have anti-anti-inflammatory properties and can be used on the base for natural skin masks and oils serum blends.
Parsley, neroli and geranium are great for red veins and rosacea
Yogurt or cream is said to be very moisturizing and contains lactic or reverse acids so it removes dead skin cells
Argan, Olive, Grapes, Flax Seeds. Jojoba or Coconut Oil is a super moisturizer, rich in vitamins and protects your skin too (coconut oil and sesame have low SPF protection)
Evening primrose and carrot seed oil is rich in vitamin E, liposomes and more. Using radishes in your own face mask or carrot seeds contains vitamins A and C and is very moisturizing especially when combined with EFA-rich ingredients in your own face mask as it helps your skin absorb all these elements into your skin.
Seeds and nuts (peas and seeds) and oatmeat are great for homemade exfoliation masks and also contain beneficial EFA. Oatmeal is great for itchy skin when mixed with cold chamomile tea.
You can create a variety of home-made masks from these ingredients - you can add exfoliating ingredients to the base of banana, avocado, honey, yogurt or cream. You can add sour or pureed radish with papaya and honey to enhance the rich vitamins.
Do not leave a tropical fruit mask on your skin for more than ten minutes as the enzyme reacts quickly and very strongly.
From these ingredients, you can try and have fun creating your own unique blend.
